I've just set up my first planted tank (first tank ever actually) and wanted to make sure everything is right.
I changed the lighting for the unit that comes with the 46L Edge.
I have my ammonia, Excel, water conditioner, planted it all and have it all ready, only to realise I maybe should...
I've got a new tank which is experiencing some hair algae problems after a week of setup. I'm thinking about starting to use Seachem Excel to help combat it, but I haven't been able to find out how much of an "overdose" is recommended.
Another silly question guys!
If i dose excel, do i still need to dose ferts?
If so, what ferts should i keep on hand?
and what kind of small snails are plant safe (i was thinking ramshorns), and can be fed to a dwarf puffer?
