Day 0: A New Adventure Begins!
Today I filled my 20 L / 5 g tank for the first time. I visited my local stores and purchased some plants:
Micranthemum umbrosum Monte Carlo (tissue culture pot)
Anubias spp. (x2)
Süßwassertang (1 pot)
Stem plant ... Elodea (Egeria densa) (1 x bunch of stems)...
I've been keeping fish for over a decade now. I currently have two freshwater tanks and a 60 gallon saltwater system.
Got the itch to turn the 20 gallon into a planted tank recently and this is what I came up with.

Hi there! I’m new to this forum.
I’m currently starting a new 7-gallon Betta tank.
It’s Day 6 of my fishless cycle with used filter media from another tank (a 2.5-year-old 5-gallon Betta tank). My soil is ADA Amazonia. I’ve been doing a 50% water change daily (for the soil), and I keep my...

Anubias showing green veins (see pic) after my last 50% water change. Plants are otherwise healthy and growing with a new leaf appearing every week or so... could this be magnesium deficiency? Fertilizing macro NPK and micro flourish. Just cut back to 1 x per week since Nitrate seemed to...
EDIT: Solved. They are Phylum Bryozoa Class Phylactolaemata (aka moss animals). Tiny filter feeding animals that live and grow in colonies. See the thread below for details.
At first I thought I spotted some hydra all lined up doing a conga line dance, but as I looked closer and fiddled with...
Hi all. I lost 1 large, beautiful anubias coffeefolia when the rhizome just completed rotted away. The smell it gave off was something else. I eventually had to throw away the whole plant. I also have a A. barteri in the tank also and while doing a water change and pruning, I saw some of the...
