Deep Blue 80 (goby build) - Wattage Minimalist 48x24x16"H

Hi,

Here is photo-filled thread of an 80 rimmed build.

I'm trying to to stay on the minimalist side.
- Easy design.
- whole build is based off of what will fit in an SUV for travel.
- board comes off the stand.
- stand is lightweight.
- open looking design.
- strong.
- low maintenance with some cool stuff like an InkBird and possibly a cheap water top-off robot.
- nano fish.
- small wattage used overall.

I have a ton of pics for some ideas to share.
They may come in spurts.

Here is the top board.

- 2 sheets of decent wood were glued together and dried with heavy objects and old weight plates around the house (anything heavy).
- maple strips were added to the 2 sandwiched/glued boards.
- clearcoat was used.
- stain kept making a yellow-like color.
- somewhat lightweight, no help needed for moving.
- fits in home doorways.
- Fits in an SUV or midsize vehicles.

I was trying to get that Birch verneer Ikea furniture fake blond look.

The stand.

- 2x4 el' cheapo.
- open bottom legs.
- fits in an SUV.
- no asking for help to move this object.

Shims added.
- Unlevel 2nd floor created a need for a few degrees of tilt.
- they sink in the carpet (not really seen).

Getting there.
- top board was screwed into the stand for strength.

Some posts get added.
- 2x4 el' cheapo.
- paint black.
- drill hole and drop in female threaded nut for the Kessil light.
