fluval 306?

im thinking about switching to a canister filter from a HOB. would the fluval 306 be enough for a 60g there rated for up to 70g and I will also be using a smaller HOB that I rated for up to 30g.

In terms of flow, it's a bit low. The 306 is rated at 303 gph flow, ideally you'd want more flow than that for 60g. Something over 400gph. What type of HOB are you using with that?

It will work, but a fluval 406 plus that HOB would be ideal flow. Flow is critical in a planted tank, and it's too often overlooked for the sake of saving a buck.
