20 gallon long canister filter

Hi, could someone point me in a good direction for a good 20 gallon long canister filter? The tank will have a good amount of plants, will be running co2. What flow rate do I need? What are some good options?

Any of the eheim, fluval or even sunsun's. As long as you get a good turnover rate. I'd suggest to get a filter rated higher than your tanks capacity. Something rated for at least 40 gallons. Most canister filters let you turn the flow rate down, if the flow is tool strong that is.

I’m on the same boat! Looking at the Fluval 207.

I have two 20 gallon tanks and they do best when I switched to the highest gph rating possible. One has the Biomaster Oase 250 which has 250 gph, love the prefilter cleaning feature. My other tank has a UNS Delta 60 (hob with 150 gph) with a Fluval C4 (264 gph). I love the Delta, but the Fluval keeps failing even though I have used the C3 with no problems. I am going to add the new Delta 90 in addition to the Delta 60 since they look so good, the build is amazing, nothing is going to fail, and I love the way they prime. I would have added another Biomaster, but on my second tank I don't have a place to put it and I can use the Delta 90 on a table next to the tank.

I had the Fluval 207 and hated the hoses and rim connectors. The filter itself seemed fine if you are handy and can figure out the hose and rim connection issues!

I had trouble with them! But I think they look decent now.

I literally just finished putting her together. Still missing my co2. I’ll do that on Saturday.

The rim connectors do look ok on your tank; I had a rimless and they looked awful and I had the worse time opening and closing them

I can see that. Definitely wouldn't put them on a rimless tank!
