Are large bubbles a problem?

This is kind of an out-there question. I'm using a Fluval U3 internal filter. I hooked up my air pump to the venturi inlet. The filter is set to the spraybar discharge. The air pump I set to about 3 bubbles per second, but the bubbles are fairly large, about pencil eraser size, and they make a bit of noise when they surface. You can only hear it when you raise the lid. My question is will the noise be detrimental to the fish. The bubbles are to create a bit of surface agitation, which it does well. Any thoughts?

Noise from the air bubbles breaking on the surface of water will not affect the fish.

Smaller bubbles will give you better oxygen diffusion.
