best tank set up for pea puffer

Hi, I want to get either a pea puffer or a beta, still researching! For either, it seems I need at least a 5gallon tank with a lid, heater, low circulation, but good filtration.

I was looking at an AIO, but worried the flow could be too strong. With a 5 gallon tank and a hob filter, I am not clear on how to add a glass lid. The glass could be custom cut to avoid the flow from the HOB but is that still too risky for either of those fish jumping out?

Any ideas or experience would be great!

Fish+Plants thanks you!!

I had the same problem with my reef tank but I found a lot of big youtuber use Polycarbonate sheets which is like a hard plastic that can be cut with a basic utility knife. If you look online you can find some video or pictures to help you.
