Question Hydor inline heater/Eheim 2211

Any thoughts on adapting the 9mm ID out take tube on a eheim 2211 to a 1/2inch barb fitting on a hydor inline heater? I know it will fit on the intake side of the filter but would rather the heater be on the out take side. Perhaps some kind of reducer?

Just use a reducer on the input connection on the heater. The output can stay 1/2Ē.

Donít put the heater on the intake side put it on the return side

Thanks for your help. I found 1/2" to 3/8" Pex barbed reducer fittings at Ace Hardware. I didn't want to put the heater on the intake side.
