High tech or low(ish) tech?
I'm starting to set up my 40B. When I set up my 75G the CO2 system came with the ability to add a second aquarium. I am trying to decide how high tech I want to go with the 40B. The 75G is running an American Marine controller, CarbonDoser regulator, EXT5000 external reactor. I could duplicate that, but I would prefer not to drop $500-$600 on them. I'm thinking that I could run a simple bubble counter into an inexpensive inline diffuser, but I like the convenience of the controller keeping the CO2 and PH relatively stable. Am I missing something? Like the 75 It will be planted with easy to grow plants. I currently have a Nicrew dual-channel light. I may use something different as the Nicrew doesn't work with a ramping timer, which I like. Suggestions on the light appreciated too. Thoughts? opinions?
