Connecting a regulator vertically instead of normal position.

Hello there.
I have a normal co2 regulator normally used for refillable co2 tanks. I am asking if I can connect it to a disposable co2 bottle ?

Since the disposable co2 bottle doesn't have a valve with a 90 degree elbow like in normal co2 tanks , will the regulator work propperly hooked on top of the bottle ? That is, the gauges won't be read from the sideways but from a top position.

PS. Yes I have an adapter from the 10x1 thread of the disposable bottle to the W21.8-14 that my regulator and normal co2 tanks have.

AFAICT the orientation of the regulator is meaningless.
Gas cylinder or bottle is though..

As jeffkrol mentioned, orientation of the gauges is arbitrary. You can have the gauges pointing "forwards" or "upwards" (towards the ceiling) with no difference.

However, there may be a difference between the regular CGA320 fitting on your regulator and with the disposable CO2 bottles.
