Sunsun canister filter(s?) for 55 gallon
I'm looking to upgrade the filter on my 55 gallon tank from my tired old Aqueon 75 HOB. My budget dictates that Sunsun canister filter(s) are the best option. These are the 2 options I'm considering:
1) 2 x Sunsun HW-302 (claimed 264 GPH each, 528 total): filter 1 would be mechanical filtration (coarse, medium and filter floss) as well as chemical (carbon, purigen). Filter 2 would be biological, pot scrubbers, lava rock, etc. I would also be adding a CO2 reactor inline with one of the filters, probably filter 2.
2) 1 x Sunsun HW-304B (claimed 525 GPH): obviously filled with mechanical, bio, and chemical filtration, again with the CO2 reactor inline.
Currently I'm leaning towards option 1 (2 x HW-302's) as I feel it provides the most flexibility. Can someone help me tip further one way or the other?
I almost forgot, the tank is stocked with 3 medium angelfish, 5 harlequin rasboras, 6 neon tetras, 2 german blue rams and 5 oto cats. And a buttload of ramshorn snails - like, a lot of them.
