Cannister filter hose size

I am in the process of adding CO2 to an adjacent 10 gallon tank. I have ordered the extra manifold block from GLA, however the only extra canister filter I have is a Fluval 106. I have 12/16 tubing, a 12/16 inline diffuser, and on top of that the only nano sized lily pipes I can find look like they take 12/16, so I would like to just get a new canister than replacing everything else.

I've only ever used the Fluvals, does anyone have a good recommendation for a filter that has both in and outflow at 12/16mm? I've read some of the Eheim's have different sizes for out/in flow?

12mm hose is basically 1/2" hose so use hair dryer and heat 1/2" vinyl hose and it will push on easily over the 14.5 mm 106 hose barbs on the filter. The reduction in hose size will not impair flow to the filter enough to matter especially considering the tank size.

I have a bit of both hose sizes and to get 12/16 up to 16/22 connectors looks like quite a stretch. It can really stretch enough to make it on and over to the parts of the filter it gets screwed into?

Yes no problem just get them nice and hot with hair dryer also if you have a heat gun that will work faster.
