Filter question

I have two small powerheads with DIY polishing filters (1L soda bottles cut in half filled with floss). One is located front left, the other rear right. The one in the front gets dirty quickly. It gets dirty enough that I change it with the weekly water change. The rear unit can go 3-4 weeks before getting as dirty as the front unit. Any idea why? Should I be concerned about it? (I like to worry about things )

As in the front is circulating more water than the rear unit?

Pretty much. Just position the head units different.

Not that it’s not circulating same amount of water but more that circulation patterns are not sweeping across substrate and pushing debris over to the other filter or some hardscape element is blocking circulation. Could be powerhead outputs are fighting with each other canceling circulation out in one area of tank.

Logically if one is blowing left to right down front wall then one back right should be aimed across back wall blowing right to left.
