Question 29g - Lily Pipe inflow too short?

Greetings y'all. First post here and hoping that this community is more inviting and helpful than the one on the site where I found this forum.

Currently in week 6 of a dry start in a 29g tank and trying to wrap up gathering the last of my equipment before flooding soon. I received the lily pipe inflow today but I guess didnt pay close enough attention to measurements.

Just trying to figure out if this inflow is going to be too short to provide proper flow and adequate intake into the filter to actually keep the tank clean. It's in the front of the tank in the picture, but I plan on having it in the back where the substrate is a couple of inches higher, so not sure if that will make a difference.

Input appreciated.

Personally I don't see that as being a problem. I've run several tanks with the intake at that height. Much more effective to remove any debris during a water change and surface vacuum anyway since it's completely removed from the system.
