Rimless aquariums in Northern CA

Any recommendations on where to buy rimless aquariums in Northern CA... and if not maybe Southern CA? (trying to avoid the 3-400 dollar shipping fees). I am looking for a 4í tank thats about 65 gallons. I found a place in Livermore, but they do acrylic only, i think i am wanting glass more.

Thank you!

I know this place, been there a few times. I feel the place is a bit overpriced and staff is not to friendly. I also know about Neptunes which is a great store, but even more expensive.

Large rimless aquariums are expensive heh. Are their prices actually higher for something made from UNS then competitors? Here is the uns website on retailers. A few other folks are available in northern ca

Find A Retailer - Ultum Nature Systems

Seems so. I find them for a decent price online. Around 500 dollars. BUT the shipping adds another 300 hundred which is about the same price that aquarium stores in the area sell them for. Thank you, I will look at the link and see what I can find

Check out Landen Aquariums (online), they ship free either from there website or amazon. Competitive pricing with other rimless tanks.

Not sure if they have a 48" but have a few in the 50-70 gal range which may work.

I like what I see. The tank itself is very affordable and perfect size. I also like that you can finance the tank.

High quality stuff and good support. I have their 5'. They have occasional 10% off promotions - check their FB page.

ADA's equivalent of 4' ~65g tank is 120-P. Good if pricey. I have a used one sitting in my garage that I'm unlikely to use. 6 running tanks is more then enough for me atm.

You could also try Infinite Aquarium in Santa Clara, but last I remember they are really more of a livestock store and lean saltwater. Anything you get at Aqua Forest will likely be the most expensive out of the offerings in the bay area. Note that the free shipping for Waterbox aquariums only applies to their FRAG, REEF, REEF PRO, CLEAR PRO and PENINSULA aquariums.

If the waterbox you want is eligible for free shipping ($150 freight otherwise) I would say go with that or UNS. They are out of Southern California so you would be supporting semi-local (if that's what you're into). If you haven't yet you should also check out the San Francisco Bay Area Aquatic Plant Society forum to see if the members are selling any used rimless tanks.

Bummer. When I recommended the 4820 clear (not pro) to OP it still had free shipping. They just updated their website last week and it appears you're right and the shipping is now an addl $150. Hopefully OP put his order in beforehand...

I have not ordered the tank yet. Was waiting until summer time probably. Its a bummer about the shipping but the tank is still 650 which is cheaper then anything else I have seen... do you know whats the difference in shipping methods? Freight and inside delivery?

Funny thing is I have reached out to local aquarium stores and havenít had much results. Most just tell me they are going to check and never get back to me. I have checked all the way up to Sacramento

I'd assume it just means the difference between a freight truck dropping it on your curb for you to sign for vs 2 guys actually then bringing the tank into your house. And yes, $650 is still probably the best thing going, especially considering the high quality of their tanks.
