Quiet/ Silent nano filter

Planning a 5 gallon tank and I'm looking for the quietest (preferably hang on back) filter possible as the tank will be kept in my bedroom. Thoughts? Thanks.

Are you buying the tank or do you already own it?

I ask because the Fluval Spec V is a great tank, and the internal filter is absolutely silent. I have one in my kitchen and I can not hear it ever even with my head right next to the tank.

If you already own the tank, then sorry I am not familiar enough with brands to be able to advise you. However I have seen more then a few people filter a tank like that with an internal filter which I imagine would be quieter since it wouldn't have water flowing back into the tank.

I didn't but it yet, and I'm actually considering the spec. Overall have you had a good experience with the tank?

Its the best tank I have ever owned. This is mostly due to the fact that 1) its completely silent, 2) the filtration is setup the right way so you don't have a ton of consumables. I would ditch the carbon it comes with and just add another sack of ceramic rings. You can hotrod it further of course but thats all that is actually needed.

The only potential negative are the dimensions. It can be hard to aquascape because its so narrow. The plus is that its long for its size.

Do you happen to know if the 2.6 gallon version of the aquarium has the same filtration system? Thank you!
