Tubes from the filter are 8/10 cm that fit on to the filter....
Lily tub is 9/12.....

I need a longer tubing, and I need the lily to fit.
1) Where do I buy some sort of connector?

I would like to use the connector mid line (the line goes under the counter.... so I would like the larger portion that connects to the lily to be cleaner.

Either than or I buy a new canister filter.... as this one was not meant to go under the counter anyways.
2) under counter canister filter for a 10 gallon?

Ok, so I switched it up.

Instead I got the EHEIM External. Then I purchased 3/8th inch tube, and a reducer (1/2" to 3/8"). This is a more powerful filter, so I will be able to put it under the tank

Sounds like you are working through the questions to come up with the better answers! One point that often pays well is that we rarely need LESS filter and we do often need more as we tend to go larger and filtering also slows when we get too busy and ignore them a bit too long. That means a slightly bigger can cover you better, just in case you need cover at some point!

Thanks! Ill take that as a compliment! there is so much conflicting information. My nano tanks were easy.... HOB or internal and it came down to design, water quality, stocking and food. But since I decided to go with lily pipes... the story changed. Its not one size fits all.... my design aesthetic obsession makes it extra hard.
But i think i like this setup.... I looked heavily at the Magniflow 160.... but the tubs were huge! so the step up/step down I thought might impact the flow rate and I couldnt find the adapters..... So after major googling... this is what I came up with. I bought everything through amazon.com prime.... so I can always return if it doesnt work out.

It's always a trip but just think what a plumber you may make. Next thing we know you will be upside down under the sink changing out the garbage disposal-------or not!

HAHA! Plumbing in general easy, I have even made my own faucets from parts and welded them together.... but finding super tiny plastic parts not available at home depot! lol. Challenging. I also went from metric... so 3/4" was soooooo confusing. lol.
But being covered in ick sink garbage.... ill leave that to professionals!
