Thanks for the info on the why to have the valve open all the way.

The back of the diffuser suggests 30 psi to start with - but at that (and 40 psi) I am not getting any results close to what I've seen these things are supposed to look like/their website suggests.

I went and bought a fluval disc diffuser - going to see if that solves and bubble counter issues - hopefully centralize where this issue is happening.

Will edit back with results.

Hello everyone,

We would like to advise, that our bazooka needs to be submerged in the water without any pressure for at least 5h (overnight recommended). This will help to open up all pores in the ceramic membrane.

Please keep us updated and let us know if the issue has been resolved.
