Shrimp babies!

Precisely 31 days from the date we first noticed eggs, she hatched! Today, the day after, we got a look at some of the babies. Counted five, but I am sure more are hidden.

And my wife took a video:

Anyone have a feeding regimen for the babies? I am feeding shirakura baby food, and small amounts of spirulina (sprayed on the moss), alternating between one and the other once daily. I have read a number of articles saying feed often, and yet others who let the babies go their own way.

What works for you?

also depends on how much biofilm etc there is for them.
since you dont have a large colony of babies once a day might be more than needed.

Nothing makes me smile more than seeing baby crystal reds in my tank. They are so freakin cute. The sides and back glass of my tank are nice and green because I never clean them. All the babies are usually happily picking at the film growing on the glass. Once they get big enough then they join the rest of the shrimp by the feeding dish. I say by the feeding dish because my shrimp are such pigs the food never stays in the dish. One the big piggies always try to drag away the food all for themselves and then it's all over. Lol
