Juvie Marmorkrebs tank

Just a little holding tank for these guys, however I thought I'd share.

Everyone thought they would look the identical since they are clones, however some do look very different. Not just in size, but coloration and markings. My guess is that the modifiers are random. For instance, A modifier may say, "You will have black markings." However it just doesn't say where the markings will be, just that the markings will be present. etc.

Unacceptable. They must be identical. The nail that sticks up will be hammered down. I'll send you a hammer.

Yeah, your theory sounds reasonable. After all, it's probably fairly small, random changes causing the differences in genome and phenotype. It's also a way to adapt in an asexually-reproducing population and drive some further evolution, no?

Makes logical sense, CT. The greater the variability, the greater chance of survival.

Thank you for confirming that. When I was asking around a while ago, the major answer I kept getting it that they will be identical in every way.

Glad to hear anther person experienced that same thing as I.
