Talking PRL & TB's Breeding

Just wanted to see if i can get some better knowledge by opening this thread.

I have been keeping PRL & TB's for about a year now and have gather different information from different sites. What I have gather is that this guys like cool water between 68F - 72F the water on my tank stays pretty much around that temperature (Using a Fan). Now with the winter it has dropped to about 65F. Also, there has not been a berried female in about 2 months now. Should I add a heater to the tank? What kind of heater would be good to use for a 20L? (BRAND-Digital)

I know that shrimps slow down breeding during the winter months, but does this mean they completely stop breeding?

Also, what would be a recommended chiller to purchase?

thank you

its not uncommon for them to slow down breeding during the winter months like you say. Its robably related to the cooler temps and shorter days, even though we all keep the lighting the same, and 65 isnt so bad, but might explain the lack of berried females lately.

for a really nice heater check out the Cobalt Aquatics Neo-Therm Heater, as far as chillers go. I dont have enough experience with them to point you to a product.

lets see some pictures!

The breeding in my tanks for CRS and TB slows down when temperature is lower than 72, and basically stop breeding under 68.
