Ebiken Kou Yin (powder)
Kou Yin, is a high quality old sea mud for shrimp tanks. This specific product is in powder form and can be used during the setup of a new tank or maintenance of a tank. It helps increase beneficial bacteria, bacterial activity, deodorize water, helps stabilize water, and improves water quality by removing toxins.
Use: When used for initial tank setups, sprinkle a thin layer before laying substrate. Half a spoonful every 10 gallons of water changed is more than sufficient. Keep in mind it is a powder and will dissolve quickly and raise TDS.

No that part sounds like the sales marketing part. Sounds like ro reconstitution to me, not bottle bac. Anything added to any aquarium increase bacterial diversity, thats an easy claim to make. As soon as you dip your thumb in a tank you have just seeded new bacters lol

If you can provide a clear, high resolution picture of the product, I can translate.

I'll take a photo in a little bit wen my fiancé is asleep and post it.
Thank you dark blade.

I know there are tons of products out there old sea mud, kou yin, etcetera that claim to jump start beneficial bacteria, but what do they really do and add to the tank. I mean indian almond leave ceramic and glass rings and other stuff added directly to the tank add surfaces and be as well. What makes these products different.

Do you have any other information? That particular label only describes what the product does (no dosing information, etc).

It reads:

Quote:
Impurities are removed by (this product), which possesses extremely high absorption power due to the finely manufactured powder.
Or something to that effect. It's hard to capture the nuance in English

So it looks like that's all the Japanese writing on it. 0.o

There had to be more to it or info out there. It can't just be a powder and it creates bacteria,

It's their version of old sea mud. When under the substrate it creates a great bed for bacteria, especially in conjunction with a UGF, when dosed into the water column it cleans the water and adds trace minerals (broad spectrum).
