Hi new here

Been in the hobby since the late 60's ( 1st tank had a slate bottom and a chrome frame) !
Anyway I went to saltwater in the 80's and never looked back until NOW.
Simply fascinated by the whole planted tank now and a total NOOB with it .
Here's a lil 5 gallon I'm playing with plants and Dream Blue AKA Blue Diamond Neos .
Anyway I'm here to learn . I also want to let people know that when you buy this breed they will be anything but the color in the PICS that sellers post but do toss a few of this color after they breed . Not sure why they call this one stable ?

The monikers is misleading as you mention. heh It's stable because they all contain the genetics for the blue, even though they are different colors. I got frustrated with all the different colors myself, however there are a lot of people that really enjoy the rainbow.

Beautiful tank- and welcome!

TY for the welcome .

Do you think it would be a good idea to fish out the true Dream Blues AKA Blue Diamonds for their own tank ? Or do you think the rainbow will go on with the blues in their own tank ?
My RED (Blue Dream ) had 20 and only 3 sub adults now ( from that clutch) are that Blue Dream color the other kids are brown/blue or just brown.
I think the sellers of this breed should tell people they will not get what is in the PIC's . And must work on it to get that color.
