Unfamiliar Saddle Colour?

Today I went to my LFS and got some otos and amanos, since I only had one of each (for when they were in a nano), and wanted to make them a gang. Of course the amanos were right next to the cherry shrimp so I got some more of those guys too. When I brought everyone home, I noticed after acclimation, that one cherry was very close to looking like a rili with the clear mid section. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was saddled, except... it was blue? huh? I know its a poor post to not include photos but my phone is acting very strange at the moment.

Thats so weird. I have always read yellow saddle. Never came across the words "blue saddle" ever. I guess I just never dove into rilis enough. Thanks.

Green, blue, yellow, brown, white, black, etc. Are all various egg colors of our little shrimp, don't be alarmed!

I have some, too. I think the blue color is caused by a very light blue tissue. So while the actual shrimp saddle may be yellow, the light blue tissue makes it appear bluish.

Well for eggs, i have only seen green, and yellow in my personal tanks. The different coloured saddle was what threw me off lol.

Ahh, so what can i expect from this females off spring? I only have cherry shrimp of various grades in there. Maybe i have to look closer but i dont see anywhere else that blue on her body, even within the clear section between her tail and head.
