How fast do RCS grow?

I received two berries RCS about 10 days ago and tonight while I was looking in the tank I saw a small shrimp, about 1/4". It's small. How old could this little guy be? I don't remember seeing anyone THAT small when I put them in the tank. Just wondering if someone's eggs hatched.

Possibly, depending on how long ago they were berried. Depending on temperature, water, etc- berries can take up to a month to hatch.

Your shrimplet is probably 10 days old. Hope you have a prefilter on your intake.

I have 2 month old shrimp that are 1/4." Their siblings are 1/2". The largest one of almost 3/4"

I don't know what the deal is with the little dinky one, but it's nice when it makes an appearance in the tank.

Just like any animals, growth rate depends on the individual and the availability of food, water paremeters, etc.

I had a cherry grow from barely visible to fully grown in about a month, and it took maybe a week longer for it to fully color up. They grow pretty fast, in other words.
