They are currently having this great sale on all their shrimp for Black Friday--they have Blue Bolts for $16 and BKKs for $13!...I would buy some if I had any money

I guess it's not ALL their shrimp, but still...

I'd be wary of ordering shrimp from across the border. There is pretty strict punishments for receiving live animals from another country without the proper method.

This, of course, wont stop anyone from actually doing it. But if you get caught, you can expect all of your shrimp and equipment to be seized, as well as hefty fines and prison terms.

No problem, I also notified ICE about that business, so maybe they'll check it out and find that he's doing the right paperwork and paying the inspection fees.

I used to import from Canada, and for a single box of shrimp it cost about 450 dollars just in inspections and shipping. So if he has figured out a way to do it legally without that kind of work, kudos to him!

hello everyone, this is Tommy from shrimpfever.

Thanks for the threat and heads up mordalphus. Why are you really doing this?

Also many american fellows have ordered and received their packages without any problems or issues since i guarantee everything and will continue to do so. Also i do not hide what i export, i declare it Caridina Sp. and so forth.

Just so you know Our black friday sales are this friday also. Our retailers aligned it with yours, so i thought i would do the same.

Thanks for reading.
feels unfair to be attacked.

Tommy

you exporting it is not the biggest issue. Those of us in America who would order from you would likely be violation federal laws in doing so. Since its illegal for us to Import without proper liscensing.
we as the buyer have a duty to know the laws as they apply to us. We'd be fined and possibly jailed, as well as being flagged by the USDA making international travel very difficult.

thanks for the heads up Mord. I agree with your report to ICE

This thread is closed, but will remain here as a warning.

1) No vendor reviews.
2) Importing/Exporting livestock (fish, shrimp, snails, plants, etc) requires specific paperwork (import/export licenses) to be filled out. If the proper paperwork is not filled out, you can be fined/jailed/prosecuted.

Suggesting things such as ways around this, or condoning such illegal activities is not permitted on the Planted Tank Forums.

Anthony
