Brew Right Coffee Filters

I have to put a pre-filter on a filter temporary to put some berried shrimp into a tank. I am out of filter bags and have to do it tomorrow. Would Brew Right coffee filters be safe? I have them and they are large squares that I could tie off with rubber bands around the filter intake. Are they safe for fish tanks? Or nylon stockings? Need answers by the morning.

Thanks

Use stockings. The paper filters could work theoretically, but the problem is they would eventually dissolve and separate.

Stockings over polyfil lasts a little longer. Polyfil is the junk they stuff pillows with, you can get a huge bag of it at a fabric stores for cheap.

do you have an extra sponge filter or even sponge from a filter. I use sponge filter sponges, just zip tie one end closed then zip tie other end tight around intake. I have ever found a shrimp in either of my filters and they take quite a while to clog.
