Fluval Ebi Shrimp Aquarium vs Arcadia 35l Arc Tank?

Hi there, I'm new here.

So I have decided I want to buy a nano aquarium and keep some shrimp and/or some other small fish species. But i'm not sure which tank to go with and I don't have a big budget to spend in regards to the tank. The tanks I have been looking at are both the Fluval Ebi Shrimp Aquarium and the Arcadia 35l Arc Tank.

Or are there any better nano aquariums I should be considering within the same price range?

Thanks.

Fluval ebi is a good start.

Thanks sayurasem,

I was just a bit worried as I read some reviews and some said that the 3D background often comes off and can smash the top lid/glass of the tank.

Oh yeah about that, I would recommend to take off the 3D background. More space for the shrimp

I have had two come off, though never when in actual use, just as I was filling. What I did was simply picked up some silicone from the aquarium shop, liberally apply to the back of the background and then seat it in the tank. This has worked great for me.

Thanks again sayurasem,

I appreciate the help & advice, I am pretty new to this stuff lol (:

And in reply to ChadO,

What kind of silicone is it I would need is there a particular name or brand I would need, I am useless when it comes to that kind of thing lol

Thanks for the help !

Very happy with my Ebi and the background is still hanging on - though I did notice on delivery that one of the blobs of factory glue was not holding - I risked filling it anyway and all is still ok 6 months on.

In my store it was Loctite Clear Silicone. Loctite written in red, top half of the tube in dark blue, bottom half is light blue. I can't imagine, though, that a LFS would carry anything but aquarium safe silicone. It is one of the reasons I spend a couple bucks more at my shop, I know it will be safe.

Yeah, the LFS should be able to sell you some aquarium safe silicone. Just apply the silicone a day or whatever the instructions say before you plan to put water in the tank.

Any 100% silicone sealant without mildew inhibitor is fine. I give a 3 day cure before adding water.
