Whats your favorite crayfish type?

So, i really know nothing about crayfish. But my little sister's hamster passed (old age, she was almost 3), and now she wants her own tank. So i have a 5 gallon set up for her. I asked her what she wants to keep in there and she said crayfish

So whats your favorite crayfish? Which ones are the hardiest? or colorful? and easiest to keep? Which can be kept with plants?

Thanks for the help =)

Viriles were cheap and local and didn't bother too much... I would have expected more damage.

This guy is my favorite. I've had him since he was an inch or so long. He's about 7" now. I keep him in a 20 gallon and with neon tetras a Chinese alge eater a couple pond snails and a striped Rafael catfish.
He will destroy a planted tank (wrecked havok on mine) and frequently "rearranges" my fake ones. He will also activly hunt fish. Keep him with sleek fast movers, anything with long fins or sleeps on the floor will get eaten.
