Which one should I use?

I'm going to go on a SPREEE today, so I wanted to know which one you guys think I should get. I haven't seen the Mr Aqua 7.5G Bowfront scaped, so I have no idea how it looks. I'll be keeping shrimp, so I don't really need too much height.

Choice #1 : Use Rimless 7.5G "12 Cube (same as Mr.Aqua)
Choice #2 : Mr Aqua 7.5G bowfront
Choice #3 : Go to random LFSes and see what they have (Budget - $100)
I'm leaning toward the bowfront, since I'm thinking about doing a "Hobbit Hill/Hole" type of thing. It's just that I've never seen it before.

But with the 12" cube, a Finnex Fugeray is only about $44 compared to $59 for a Finnex Fugeray 20 inch. The bowfront also needs more Aquasoil.

I like the idea of the bow front.

How much is that tank?

Nice tank, I can sorta imagine how it looks. I'll just pull out the ruler.

Price wise, if I got the bowfront, I would still be on "budget", it would still cost a little more. The cube would need about 7L of AS and the bowfront would need 8L, which means I'll still need the 9L bag. Any else want to vote?

You will not need that much aqua soil for a 12" cube or that bow front. Unless you are willing half the tank up with it.

Get the Mr Aqua 12 gal long tank you'll never regret it. Unless you don't have 36" clearance for it.

I'll second the 12g long :p

I'm also not a big fan of bowfronts

Agreed, just picked up this 12" cube from Frank and I'm totally diggin it. Nice to have a clear view of all sides, kind of like you have 2 viewing pains. Not sure if I like it more than my 12 long though.

You can calculate the amount of cubic inches in 9L of AS. Then divide that by length and width of the tank to get the height of aquasoil. 1 9L bag will give me something like 2.7" of it in a 10 gallon.

I would do the cube. Unless you already have one. Cheaper in lighting and substrate.

How I feel about non-planted aquariums.
