Take a read through this article and consider the recommended "UltraLife Blue-Green Slime Stain Remover": https://fishlab.com/blue-green-algae/.

Amazon is filled with positive reviews and there are comments about shrimp safety here on TPT.

NOTE: I have not, personally, ever used this product and it does seem to hide it's ingredients very well. If it works as well as reviews state, I would also probably try to hide the ingredients from competitors. If you do decide to try it, please report your results.

I've used erythromycin on a tank with Amanos and snails and didn't have issues.

I did a blackout for almost 5 days
cianobacteria was reduced for 2 days and back...
gonna use the product recommended in the previous post.
Hope it does not kill my pure line red crystals. I really love them.
remind me to report safety results

did a third treatment
cianobacteria dead completely except for on one small stone I will take out.
Shrimps didn't seem bothered by treatment.
PH did rise a little and I am sure hardness too. So I will do a huge water change in a few days.
But for 2-3 weeks with 3 treatments, It seems red crystal shrimp safe.

Feels like noone is reading this thread, but maybe this information would be helpful to someone one day.

did a 90% water change this saturday. This ended the treatments.
Almost everything is gone, still see one spot.

Counted the shrimp today, all well and non harmed.

Bump: did a 90% water change this saturday. This ended the treatments.
