OE Red Tiger Shrimp

Made some money off fish sales so turned it into a shrimp purchase. I am in love with these.

They range in size-- there are 2 babies in there that are too small to guess.
The others are 1/2 -ish inch, some at 3/4-ish inch. Im guesstimating, obviously.

Much luck to you on the most beautiful OE Red tigers available-- lol!

What does your tank look like that you are preparing for them? I usually dont like black substrate, but Im thinking that they would show up best with at least a darker substrate. Mine are on a divided light colored Controsoil and tan colored sand. Doesnt exactly bring out their colors.

These guys are sure out and about today. They have settled in well. I am assuming that large diamond shape on the back of one of the shrimp is unfertilized eggs and not some disease or something? Im hoping so...

Please excuse all the hair algae. I yank some out once a week and leave the rest for the shrimp. They love it.

If you mean the dark shape on the shrimp hanging out around the filter outtake, then yes, that's the ovaries, aka "saddle", which is much easier to see on clear or somewhat transparent shrimp! They are the unfertilized eggs.
