I recently changed some things in my aquascape to favor a more high tech setup. While previously I kept the nerites in the tank with CO2 I have recently upped my co2 injection to reach the recommended 30ppm concentration. Before, I think I kept a lower concentration because I didn't have a co2 indicator. My snails have become kind of listless. I thought it was due to a high level of nitrate in the tank due to leaking root tabs (up around 40ppm). I moved them to another tank with low nitrate and they bounced back within a day. I moved them back now that I have the nitrate levels under 10ppm. Today they are acting listless again which makes me wonder if it's co2 related.

Anyone know if nerites can't handle the co2? Do I need to aerate more or should I just decrease co2?

My nerites do fine in a high tech setup. Have seen no issues with co2 injection. Donít knows what the official ppm is, but the indicator is lime green every day by noon ( starts the day a tad darker). I keep my nitrates around 5ppm.
