Blue-ish amano shrimp...

Anyone ever had their amano shrimp turn a light blueish color??

It's not the easiest to tell in the pic... But it's fairly obvious in person. It's not just dark... It's actually a blue tone.

In the same lighting and the same area, my other amano are regular amano color.

My only guess is that recently I left for a week, and had a CO2 failure... Which lead to a massive BBA bloom... Which they have now been eating a lot of.

It does happen, and yes your suspicions are likely correct. They change color based on their diet and how close to molting they are.

They can also camouflage to an extent. I once had some in a blue bucket and when i put them in the tank they were very blue.
