Any help identifying this issue

One of my Amano shrimp seems to have a growth of some kind on its head. It also seems to have lost a limb. This could just be a wound inflicted by my giant betta who on occasion I have caught chasing them. Just hoping it isn't some disease. Click image for larger version

Look up Scutariella Japonica, it's a harmless shrimp parasite that attaches to their head. Prazipro aka Praziquantel can knock it off without hurting plants or filter bacteria.

Really compare to photos to ensure that's what they have first tho.

Not Scutariella japonica to my eye. That is typically stark white and looks almost like a tiny icicle like vorticella. I do lean more towards disease than injury, but that is unlike any shrimp disease I've encountered. Looks tumor-like.

Nothing good happens fast in an ecosystem.
