This is true. Water changes very minimal. Only if you have 20 ppm nitrates or more. Rob from flip aquatics says once about every other month since almost zero bio load. Just top off. I have done some water changes since my tank is still newish. And I had to use planeria zero so wanted to remove some of the meds since I donít have a carbon filter. The Matten filter is sponge. Not sure how to encorporate carbon. Anyway....every time I do a water change...my KH drops way too low. Basically I canít use salty shrimp kh and gh to reminerslize the new distilled water because it will increase tds so I am forced to use straight distilled water and some baking soda to keep kh.

What water do you use for your water changes?

What is the GH and KH of that water?

What substrate are you using?
