I got this awesome guy a week ago and his shell seems to be either changing color or growing in a new color. He was all light blue when I got him and now he looks like this. PH is good, temp is good, gh and kh is I think good. Is this normal or cause for concern? The snail is super active and seems pretty happy in my 10 gallon planted tank.Click image for larger version

Snail shells turning white is usually a sign of a calcium deficiency. To my knowledge, a GH test does not distinguish between calcium and magnesium levels, so you calcium levels may be low. To help the snail, you could add a cuttlebone or some other calcium source, along with feeding them some blanched leafy greens and veggies. I peronally add crushed oyster shell for my shrimp/snails, but do be aware that adding a calcium source will raise your ph slightly.

Thanks but the shell is turning the darker color near the edge. When I got the snail it was completely the lighter color.

oh I must have misread your post. I don't think a snails shell getting darker is any cause for concern, it's most likely just reacting/adjusting to the different minerals levels in its new environment. Maybe it came from a calcium deficient environment and it's gaining back its origional colour. Either way, I don't think it's a bad thing.
