Vegetables for Mystery Snail

Hi all,
I have blanched carrots and cucumbers in the freezer for my mystery snail. How long can I keep it in there before having to throw them away? Also, any suggestions on what other vegetables mystery snails can eat. Plus I only have one snail so how often should I feed him/her?

No straight answer for feeding frequency-depends on the tank its in (how much food it gets in there from leftover fish food from other inhabitants, or diatoms (brown algae)). Mine was with 2 goldfish and just ate their scraps from pellets and veggies put in for them + diatoms in the 40g.

As for lasting in the freezer.. honestly don't see a need for expiration-worst thing is frostbite but you just thaw and feed, snails aren't going to be as picky as humans about that.

Leafy green veggies like lettuce (not iceburge-its useless), spinach, kale, squash, pumpkin-petty much anything you can feed to shrimp or plecos-remember to blanch veggies well, mystery snails can't tear firm food.

Due to photobuckets new bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my photos helpful.

I am going to experiment with making home made algae wafers from spirulina powder.
