Shrimp suggestions for hard water tank

Hello folks, it's been several years since my last aquascape was given away. I'm planning on setting up another heavily planted shrimp tank. The water in my new place seems to be a lot harder than my last. I was able to establish a very healthy colony of red cherry shrimp in the past but was thinking about maybe trying a different species/type this time. Does anybody have any recommendations on what my next colony should be? Or should i just stick with what i have already had success with? Thanx in advance for any helpful recommendations.

What is the GH and KH?

Tigers are pretty hardy and may be able to do fine in the water.

Red cherry shrimp are pretty adaptable. I've had them breed well in 400+ TDS tapwater that was coming out of my water softener. Plants don't grow well in that water (I'm switching to remineralized RODI), but red cherry shrimp breed in it.

If you're interested in another variety of Neos, LRB Aquatics has some fantastic Blue Dreams that he breeds in what most would consider very hard water.

My algae is the only plant that pearls.

In addition to GH & KH... what's the source of your water?

Have you or other locals kept aquatic critters with success?

Tap water works for lots of people. But as @Zoidburg can attest, every tap source is different and sometimes it's a no-go.
