Spot on Amano shrimp

I have a 5 gallon planted tank with one betta and one Amano shrimp. I just noticed today a off color spot on the shrimp, and I was really hoping someone could tell me what it is? I will try to add a picture of it.

That is very much a releif if it is true. I dont know if you can see it, it looks like a light tan kind of color on his body toward the tail. It does look like it is on the outside of his skeleton. Thanks for taking a look.

It is hard to get a picture of it.

I dont think thats good. Looks like either the failed molting line or bacteria. Dont think its normal. Its hard to tell because the failed molting line is usually right behind the carapace I think.

Yeah..... that's not normal.

Could also be an area where he got injured at? Not sure best treatment, if any.

If indeed bacterial, I think oregano oil/flakes may help? Along with indian almond leaves, alder cones, bamboo leaves, etc. Best to do more research before choosing any sort of action.

I added a almond leaf to the tank and the shrimps spot seems to be slowly getting smaller. The shrimp molted and seems to be getting better. Thanks for the help.

Great news! The thought of muscular necrosis crossed my mind so I'm glad to hear it's improving and not getting worse

92% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
