Question Cory fry ok in a shrimp tank?

I recently upgraded my 10 to a 29 gallon. I'm getting Corydoras sterbai sometime soonish and was planning on attempting to breed/raise some fry in the old 10. My question is, could I set it up as a planted shrimp tank and use it grow out the Cory fry? Since I have it up and running I might as well keep something in it full time eh? The placement of the tank can get to around 85 during the summer upstairs. Anything compatible with that?

I've had RCS with great success in a 6 gallon, but I think I want to try some other of the easier shrimps. I have the old equipment, and plan to put a sponge pre-filter on the hob. With cories, I was going to do a layer of sand (same type as my 29) Get some subwassertang bushes going and have either frogbit or salvinia minima, or both as floaters. Whatever cuttings from my 29 could fill the rest of the tank, but I'd keep a fairly large open area for viewing so I could keep track of the number of fry and shrimp during feedings.

I would think they would be fine... If the shrimp are well fed they should have no reason to chase the fry but I am just speculating.

Yeah... I name my fish...

As long as they're not ghost shrimp, the fry should be fine. Some people use RCS to keep the cory eggs free from fungus.

I just started breeding my Sterbai. I have about 30 fry from a breeding group of 5. They're just over a week old.

Biggest issue I see is high temps. That's not good for shrimp.

Second, no info on water parameters for shrimp.

As far as the actual question of raising fry in tank with shrimp? Probably be okay.

I have kept RCS before so my water is fine for them. Today my wife made the mistake of saying its too bad we didn't have a corner tank for the corner in our bedroom. Yea, not spending the money. What she wasn't counting on was me grabbing the tape measure and checking to see if it would fit a 10 gallon! All I need is a stand, or to build one and we're good to go, with normal room temps! I love her for putting up with me.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions/feedback!
