Lost one of my shrimp last night

So I came into work this morning after being off yesterday. I turned on the lights and what did I find? One of my glass shrimp sitting on a leaf chomping away at one of my RCS.

I was able to net out the RCS as PetCo has a 30 day warranty if I can bring a body back. That is what I will be bringing back too. Just a body. No head, no legs, no swimmers... Just the body.

Now I am worried as only one of the RCS have came out of hiding today. But I know they are hiders but it would be nice to see them today.

What size tank, and how heavily-planted? Glass/ghost shrimp are notoriously aggressive if they feel that they don't have enough territory to themselves. I've heard many stories of glass or ghosts attacking RCS. On the other hand, I've heard many stories of them getting along just fine... but usually in larger, heavily-planted setups.

It's a 7 gallon waterbox that is about 4 weeks old.

It has one mystery snail and six ghost shrimp and maybe around seven small RCS. There may actually be one of the ghost shrimp that is not really a ghost shrimp. I noticed today that one of them is much darker than the others. Problem is he was in an area that gets some shadows from the light. I will try and get a photo of him when he comes out again.

Update, This morning when I got into work I saw three of my RCS out and about the tank.

I was actually kind of surprised because I thought they all had to be teenagers. Normally I turn on the lights around 9 a.m. and they don't get out of bed until after lunch.

Hahaha

Nice setup! I'd think that there are plenty of hiding places to keep them all harmonious. I'd assume that the lost RCS was dead before the glass got to him/her.

Yeah that is what I am figuring. Both that there are plenty of hiding places and that the RCS was dead before the glass got to it.
