CRS Sexing

I’m having difficulty discerning the gender of the shrimp that I have. Would anyone be able to help? I wasn’t able to get a good shot on 6 because it is staying under the plant so I took a couple angles.

1 and 4 I'm betting are male. 2, 3, and 5 are probably female. 6 I could go either way. The best way to tell is a close up on their side so we can see the abdominal area of their shell.

Im still new to shrimp, do you know of something i could look at to learn this?

This video does a pretty good job of explaining. You'll understand why a side profile is most helpful too. The younger they are, the harder it is. If #1 is not an option, I prefer #4 in his video because I find it more accurate. Sometimes #2 can be misleading, and #3 I've never been good at telling...


In the picture below, females tend to look like the left while males look more like the right. I don't think that's the point of the picture, but it was the first I could find in Google Image search
