Clean algae while baby shrimps in tank

my shrimp tank currently has baby shrimps in it. I wonder should I clean the algae on tank glass? Would it be bad for them?

If I do not clean algae, I am also worried that it will grow out of control.

I need some advice! Many thanks.

Shrimp will actually eat that algae on the glass. You are just making it more convenient for them by scraping it off. I would simply turn off filters before cleaning just so the algae doesn't gunk up sponges. Let it settle for half an hour, then turn filters back on. Enjoy your clean glass.

I've heard with baby shrimp they don't like to move much for awhile after being born so cleaning the algae off the glass and letting it settle in their area may be more ideal for the babies so they don't have to go searching for it.

Life without an aquarium is just flat out boring, Unfortunately like most in the hobby I'm highly susceptible to Multiple-Tank-itis.

Many thanks guys for the suggestions! I will probably leave the alage on the glass for a bit more, just to avoid the babies too much. Will have a clean up every other week. I felt I have done too much cleaning recently.

If you wait about a week or two, they will be alot bigger that you can actually notice them easier if that's your concern as well?
