Thoughts on snail traps

So the bladder snails are starting to get a wee bit too populated in my tank! As I don't mind them being there I also don't want them getting out of control! Thoughts!?

I have read a few methods including:
Plain pulling them out by hand/tweezers
Using a piece of a vegetable (cucumber, zucchini, carrot..) and leaving it in for a while + removing with the snails it's attracted
No-Planaria which supposedly kills not only planaria but snails! (Safe for plants/inverts/fish) Though this will cause an ammonia spike with the mass death
Fenbendazole is another way though it doesn't necessarily kill snails, but it will at higher doses

I think if you do the first two options every so often, it may help you keep them under control! You could also just let an assassin snail or two loose

$1 Wine glass with an algae wafer, piece of broccoli, or veggie pellet in it.

Won't that attract my Otto's too tho? I guess they will come out easy for the removal.....I have a lot of plants and no room for a wine glass, unless it's standing straight up! Amy suggestions on what to do with them once I've caught a few?

Even standing up, the snails will find the food in the glass.

I like the carrot method. Just lift out the baby carrot once or twice a day for a week and the snail pop is severely reduced. I toss mine in experiment jars on my patio. (Jars in fill sun stuffed with trimmings and red root floater and a very healthy snail population)

My tank journal.
