Red patch on Amano shrimp?

Found the shrimp dead this morning, had the shrimp for more than 2.5 years. My best guess is it probably got injured by the power head in my tank unless this is something else

Dunno if the red line under the shrimp is related

Looks like the Amano shrimp there had been eating some orange or red food before it died. Is this by chance the color of the food you were feeding your fish? My amanos often get a patch of orange when they eat some leftover fish food. My hunch is the red stripe is either the tail end of the digestive tract, therefore it makes sense that this would also be red.

Hard to say if from old age or not since they can live for at least 6-10 years. Red coloration could be from several things.
