Ways to get rid of Hydra?

Not sure where to post this, but I went on vacation for a week and came back to find lots of great growth from my plants but I also noticed that Hydra seems to have made its way into my tank. Right now it seems the infestation is rather small, collecting in the right side of my tank. I've heard that Hydra can (and will) kill and eat baby shrimp (is Hydra able to eat adult shrimp?) So this infestation has me rather concerned. Are there any safe ways to get rid of it without getting rid of any plants it may have hitchhiked on, and without causing any harm to my plants, shrimp and snails? I have ramshorn snails and red cherry shrimp (amongst a few other shrimp arriving in a shipment later in the week.)

Life without an aquarium is just flat out boring, Unfortunately like most in the hobby I'm highly susceptible to Multiple-Tank-itis.

Fenbendazole is the way to go to eliminate Hydra.

Hydra can definitely harm baby shrimp, and if numerous enough, can also harm adult shrimp.
dukydaf and dukydaf like this.

Don't use Fenbendazole if you have a tank with snails.

There are No Planaria, Planaria Zero, SL-Aqua Z1 and Predator from GreenPepperShrimp. I don't know which product is "safest" for snails (you never want to dose these products with snails in tank - but safe as in when to add them back into the tank afterwards), but Fenbendazole can stick around for months.

Go to Petco, get Safe Guard, or Panacure, Dog de-wormer. They are Fenbendazole. Dose at .1 gram per 10 gallons. Will kill the Hydra overnight and not harm anything else. Definitely won't harm rams horn snails.

I am not afraid of work. I can lay down right next to it and go to sleep.

I went to my local fish store today to see if they might have something on hand before resorting to one of the other suggestions. He gave me a little bottle of prazipro to try out, unsure of if it would work against Hydra, said it might not affect snails but gave no promise. Has anyone tried this before? I removed a few snails before dosing, just in case it does have a bad turn against my snails so I can repopulate the tank after about a week, so i guess I'll monitor the tank over the next few days to see if it works, if not I'll resort to one of the other suggestions. He said he uses it in a bath for shrimp that come into the store that might have worms or parasites, so if nothing else maybe It'll solve my tanks worm issue. Thanks for your input guys!
