Are Vinegar Eels Really Not Nutritious?

I keep hearing that vinegar eels are bad for baby fish and they should not be used as a fry food. However, I have yet to see convincing evidence as to why they would be a bad food choice. Does anyone have something (preferably quantitative) that proves vinegar eels are not nutritious? I tried digging and instead found some really old articles about them being too rich, and then newer ones saying they have nothing in them.

It's funny, because I've seen the same said about baby brine shrimp - fry fed on them don't grow that well, so they must be bad for them, right? They might be, if that's the ONLY food you give them. I'd imagine it's the same with vinegar eels. To make sure fry are getting all the nutrients they need, it's good to give them a variety of foods. Vinegar eels along with other tiny organisms should be fine.
