Tri-Cities Freshwater/Planted Society?

I know we do have an aquarium club in this area, the Mid-Columbia Salt Water Aquarium Society, but well, it will probably be quite awhile before I have the finances to move into the salt water world. I also know some people have no desire to go into the salt water world, and yet, there is no club for those of us who aren't into SW.

I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I think trying to form up a group here would be good, as it would allow us to communicate, share, learn, trade things, and generally share our obsessions with others.

If you are interested, please PM me. I've never ran an organization/club before, but would be more than interested in learning, and think it would be a wonderful thing to have here in the Tri-Cities. If it sounds like a good idea, please express interest, and we'll see about getting one put together!

Thank you for reading this.

I'd be interested in something like that. I always have plants and such to trade and it would be cool to meet other people with similar hobbies.

I am the original founder of the Mid Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club (MCSAC). If you want some suggestions or need input, just let me know. Clubs here takes a lot of energy to get off the ground and to keep them going.

Down here in Portland, we had pretty good turn outs for plant swaps for about a year, then it fell off.
We would all meet at a pizza place and bring plants. Good pizza, nice people and great plants make for a killer combination.
