Plants bending towards light??

I think this belongs here...

Well say i bought a 2x65 watt coralife aqualight, and placed that on the back of my 50 gallon (its a 48 inch 50 gallon though), and then put 2x40 watt shoplight on the front

would the plants grow back towards the aqualight??

They will, but not as noticeable as when there's no light overhead.

Not just in stem plants, but in general, all plants. It's just more noticeable in plants which grow taller and quicker.

Phototaxis...you just have to play around with the placement of the plants and choose which ones you want in parts of the tank so you don't get the crazy bends. After I moved I raised my back set of lights up about 3 inches compared to the front set and my L. peruensis started growing all crooked. After dropping the light down about 1.5 inches it went back upright. And those have really thick woody stems....on the other hand plants like Cabomba will bend inward if you plant them in the corners of your tank.

Re-boot!
